When Ruby Mullen took the job as the public relations director of the Valley Falls Strikers, her only concern was working with professional athletes, whom she despised. However, the guys on the team turned out to be amazing, with one exception: Dallas Ramos. He irritated her and drove her crazy. His partying ways and womanizing were exactly why she hated athletes, despite the fact that it seemed like he had made a change in his life. After all, tigers don't change their stripes.
As the star midfielder for the Strikers, Dallas was used to hard work. He had no problem knocking a guy out of the way or sliding to take the ball away. However, his life off the field was different. He could walk into a bar and women would flock to his side, without him having to work for it. That was before he decided he wanted more out of life than one-night stands and women who didn't understand him.
Enter Ruby Mullen. She was constantly on him about something, yelling and arguing with him whenever they were in the same room. Somehow, that turned him on, and he knew it was time to do something about it. He wanted her, and he was determined to make her his.
Ruby's initial concerns about working with professional athletes had been quickly dispelled by the team's behavior, except for Dallas. He was a different story altogether. His partying and womanizing ways were exactly the traits she despised in athletes, and she couldn't understand how someone like him could have changed. After all, the saying "tigers don't change their stripes" seemed to apply to him.
On the field, Dallas was a force to be reckoned with. He had no problem being physical and taking what he wanted, whether it was knocking a guy out of the way or sliding to take the ball. But off the field, his life was different. He could walk into a bar and women would flock to him, without him having to lift a finger. That is, until he decided he wanted more out of life than just one-night stands and women who didn't understand him.
That's when Ruby Mullen came into the picture. As the public relations director, she was constantly on his case, yelling and arguing with him whenever they were in the same room. And for some reason, that turned Dallas on. He wanted her, and he was determined to make her his.
The tension between them was palpable, and it seemed like they were always at odds. But underneath it all, there was a growing attraction that neither of them could deny. Dallas knew he had to do something about it, and he was ready to take the plunge.
